بنابر کلیشه‌های همگانی آفریقا سرزمین رقت‌انگیز فقر و خشکسالی و بیماری‌های مهلک است‌؛ گوشه‌ای نفرین‌شده از زمین با ساکنانی بدوی و جامانده از قطار پرشتاب «انسانی». اما نمی‌دانم چرا من مسافر چندروزه اعماق آفریقا هیچ ردی از این نکبت موهومی ندیدم. و در عوض شادی کودکان را دیدم با لباس‌های رنگی و لبخند زیبا بر لب. سازگاری مطلق با طبیعت را دیدم و نشاط واقعی در زندگی روزمره. این مجموعه تلاشی کوچک است برای به تماشا نشاندن آفریقای به گمان من واقعی؛ آفریقای خودم.

According to common stereotypes, Africa is a pitiful land of poverty, drought and deadly diseases; A cursed corner of the earth with primitive inhabitants and remnants of the high-speed "human" train. But I don't know why I didn't see any trace of this illusory tragedy as a traveler of several days deep in Africa. And instead I saw the happiness of children with colorful clothes and beautiful smiles on their faces. I saw absolute harmony with nature and real cheerfulness in everyday life. This collection is a small attempt to show Africa I think is real; My Africa.
