Shalman Art Gallery is an independent contemporary art gallery founded in Dec. 2011 by designer and architect Ali Mazarei. Based in Tehran and operating internationally, the gallery is dedicated to supporting emerging Iranian artists while fostering a dialogue between art, design, and architectural thinking.
Shalman distinguishes itself through a research-oriented and educational approach, extending beyond exhibitions to include academic publishing and interdisciplinary collaboration. Rooted in ethical practice and critical engagement, the gallery functions as a cultural platform where artistic production intersects with design research, sustainability, and contemporary visual culture.
In 2023, Shalman Art Gallery expanded its activities internationally with the establishment of Shalman Gallery in San Diego (USA), reinforcing its commitment to cross-cultural exchange and global visibility for its artists.

نگارخانه شَلمان یک گالری مستقل هنر معاصر است که در بیست و پنجم آذز سال ۱۳۹۰ توسط علی مزارعی (عکاس، طراح، مدرس و پژوهشگر معماری واستو)، تأسیس شد. این نگارخانه با پایگاه اصلی در تهران و فعالیت‌های بین‌المللی، به حمایت از هنرمندان نوظهور ایرانی می‌پردازد و هم‌زمان گفت‌وگویی میان هنر، طراحی و تفکر معماری ایجاد می‌کند.
شَلمان با رویکردی پژوهش‌محور و آموزشی، فراتر از برگزاری نمایشگاه‌ها عمل کرده و در حوزه‌ نشر علمی (ترجمه و تالیف) و همکاری‌های میان‌رشته‌ای نیز فعال است. این نگارخانه با پایبندی به اصول اخلاق حرفه‌ای، به‌عنوان بستری فرهنگی عمل می‌کند که در آن تولید هنری با پژوهش طراحی، پایداری و فرهنگ بصری معاصر پیوند می‌خورد.
در سال ۲۰۲۳، نگارخانه شَلمان با تأسیس شعبه ایالات متحده در سن‌دیگو، دامنه فعالیت‌های خود را به سطح بین‌المللی گسترش داد و بر تعهد خود به تبادل فرهنگی و معرفی هنرمندان در عرصه جهانی تأکید کرد.
بیانیه مأموریت:
مأموریت نگارخانه شَلمان حمایت از هنرمندان نوظهور از طریق رویکردی اخلاق‌محور، پژوهش‌محور و آموزشی است؛ با هدف ایجاد پیوندی معنادار میان هنر معاصر، طراحی و معماری و مشارکت فعال در گفت‌وگوی فرهنگی در سطوح ملی و بین‌المللی.
بیانیه چشم‌انداز:
نگارخانه شَلمان در چشم‌انداز خود به‌دنبال آن است که به بستری فرهنگی پیشرو تبدیل شود که میان عمل هنری و پژوهش طراحی پیوند برقرار می‌کند و به‌واسطه‌ اعتبار علمی، تعهد اخلاقی و نقش مؤثر در گسترش حضور جهانی هنر معاصر ایران شناخته شود.
