خط با تکیه بر ظرفیت‌های بصری خود، در هیئت حروف و کلمات و با تکیه بر خوشنویسی، اما با رویکردی مدرن و فرم‌محور، از ساختار کلاسیک فاصله گرفته و به نقاشی نزدیک شده است. اجرای بداهه و سیال سبب می‌شود که هنرمند خطاط از آن هم فراتر رود و با سنت‌شکنی فرمالیستی یک‌باره، خود را به‌مثابه یک نقاش آبستره بر قلهٔ مدرنیته و انتزاع بیابد.
هنرمندان در این سبک، از شناخت ظرفیت‌های خط به نفع نقاشی بهره برده‌اند و چهره جدیدی از خط را به مخاطب نشان می‌دهند. این نمایشگاه ارائه‌دهندهٔ آثار هنرمندانی است که برای بیان احساسات و افکار خود از فرم و رنگ و نقش کمک گرفته‌اند.

یلدا راه‌نجات

The art of written script, although reliant on its aesthetic qualities, has long been attributed to the realm of letters and words. However, a modern approach, which displays greater sensitivity to form, has enabled calligraphy to distance itself from the classic styles and draw ever closer to a more artistic expression. The introduction of improvisation and fluidity has permitted the artist calligrapher to step even further, breaking traditions whilst maintaining form, and in the process discovering himself an abstract painter standing at the apex of modernity.
Artists in this field have come to recognize the capacity for script to benefit from traditional art, unveiling a new facade of the art of scripture and calligraphy to the audience.
This exhibition presents the art works of artists who have taken assistance from scripts, letters, forms, lines and colours to express their thoughts and emotions.
